Patti C. Bohonowicz, CPA, CITP
Partner
Patti Bohonowicz; CPA, CITP, CCP; is a founding partner of Non-Profit Partners LLC, serving clients at each stage of project management: documenting needs, coordinating database development, integrating systems, leading training and providing go-live and life-cycle support. With a bachelor’s degree and an MBA from Loyola University in Baltimore, Patti’s experience in business and accounting is vast and varied. She specialized in audit tax and small business at a Big Eight accounting firm, served as CFO of a Baltimore nonprofit housing agency, led the computer consulting division of two CPA firms, and, for the last 15 years, has operated a company of her own: first Non-Profit Perspectives and, now, Non-Profit Partners. At home in Baltimore, Patti is active in her church’s choir, serves on the finance committee and heads the stewardship and capital campaign committees. She also volunteers at a local homeless shelter and serves on the board of a local non-profit that provides youth sports programs. In her free time, Patti participates on a master swim team, swimming butterfly and individual medley.
Joseph C. Johnson
Partner
Joseph Johnson is a founding partner of Non-Profit Partners LLC, serving multiple roles. Joe’s primary role is educational, helping nonprofits make the right decision in selecting new software and technology. Performed at no charge, Joe's consultative service covers fund accounting, fundraising, online giving strategies, human resources and back-office system software and integration. His secondary role is implementing fundraising/development software systems for nonprofits and enhancing operational excellence. Joe’s 25-plus years of business development and consulting experience have provided him the insight and experience to help nonprofit leaders obtain their goals. Joe received his Bachelor of Science and Masters of Science degrees from the University of Kentucky, and he pursued post-graduate business studies to augment his personal business endeavors. Joe developed STG (Strategic Technology Group) within a regional CPA firm in Kentucky, focusing on the unique back-office and software applications of nonprofits throughout the southeast. With the advent of Sarbanes-Oxley, Joe merged his years of nonprofit practice development with Non-Profit Perspective Inc. in Maryland and formed Non-Profit Partners LLC. Joe is passionate about his avocation, and, along with his family, is active in giving back and striving to make a difference.

Linda Stone
Accounting Implementation Specialist
Linda is an affiliated partner with NPP, providing installation, conversion and implementation services, along with on-site, classroom and web-based training and support. Formerly a senior trainer for Kintera FundWare, Linda managed nationwide training for the accounting software company, providing internal, external and on-site training for client organizations. In addition, she provided training and technical support—nationally and internationally—to more than 25 Value Added Resellers and FundWare Professional Services staff. Linda is a graduate of the University of Colorado at Denver, with a dual degree in accounting and operations management. In her free time and family time, Linda enjoys cooking, playing cards, Sudoku and the mountains of Colorado.
Phil P Symonds, CPA
Accounting Implementation Specialist
Phil is an affiliated partner with NPP, specializing in design, installation, training and support for Sage MIP Fund Accounting. Phil works to translate and import legacy accounting data to the new accounting system, thereby retaining historical details and allowing comparative data reporting. A graduate of Hofstra University (BA) and West Virginia University (MSW), Phil served for 25 years as a financial officer for education and social service agencies. He now operates his own accounting and financial resource management consulting practice and volunteers as a financial advisor for several nonprofit organizations. In his spare time, Phil enjoys cooking, building guitar amplifiers and working in the yard.

Fundraising Implementation Specialist
Susan is an affiliated partner with NPP, specializing in fundraising practices and software implementation. Susan earned her BA in Communication Arts and Business Administration from Georgetown College and her MAMC from the University of Florida: College of Journalism and Communications. Susan has worked as a fundraising professional for ten years managing and analyzing donor data, developing strategic fundraising plans and budgets, building relationships with major and grant donors, executing major events, and implementing communication initiatives including eCommunication and ePhilanthropy efforts. In addition to Susan’s interest in the evolution of non-profit fundraising practices, Susan serves on the Board of a local fundraising professional association and volunteers regularly throughout her community.
Amy Perry
Marketing/CSR
In addition to managing NPP’s marketing database and mailings, Amy works with our clients to help them get the answers they need, 24/7, matching client needs with the Non-Profit Partners team. In fact, your e-mails to support@n-ppi.com go directly to Amy. She also helps organize nonprofit seminars and conferences in Kentucky; Maryland and Washington, D.C. A graduate of Auburn University, Amy is an accomplished seamstress with her own sewing business. She also chairs the finance committee at her church, where she sings in the choir.
Elaine Harrison
External Accounting
Elaine provides bookkeeping and payroll processing services to Non-Profit Partners. Elaine has over 15 years experience in accounting in a wide variety of both for-profit and non-profit entities. She routinely serves as Controller or Chief Financial Officer for many of her clients including payroll and bookkeeping services, to more complex budgets, training and consulting services for small businesses. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Lenoir-Rhyne College in Hickory North Carolina. She serves on the Board of the Foundation for Community Partnerships, Inc. which is an organization that assists local management boards in coordination with local non-profits and start up organizations to serve the needs of the families.

Copywriter
Bob is NPP’s go-to guy for writing and editing. An experienced fund-raiser (Director of Development at Midway College), Bob can craft an effective letter, a compelling brochure or a comprehensive grant proposal. He also has worked as a copywriter and marketing writer (Lexington Herald-Leader), able to quickly produce ads, profiles, feature articles, press releases and advertorials. Finally, Bob can use his editor’s eye to add polish, professionalism—and proper punctuation—to a client-generated piece. An award-winning writer of newspaper serial stories, Bob has also published Christmas short stories and has completed a humorous restaurant manuscript in collaboration with a local chef. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Transylvania University and an M.S.Ed. from the University of Kentucky.
